The Chief Greg Graham Legacy Foundation Announces Grant Recipients: His House for Her and Open Arms Village
Ocala, FL – May 25th, 2023 – The Chief Greg Graham Legacy Foundation is pleased to announce the recipients of this year’s grant, awarded to deserving nonprofit organizations. His House for Her and Open Arms Village have been selected as the recipients of this year’s grants, following a rigorous evaluation, and voting process. The announcement was made at The Chief Greg Graham Legacy Foundation Mental Health Luncheon held on May 24th in the Churchill ballroom at The Ocala Hilton.
The Chief Greg Graham Legacy Foundation, established in honor of the late Chief Greg Graham, aims to continue his legacy of service and dedication to the Ocala community. Through its annual grant program, the foundation supports nonprofit organizations that share Chief Graham’s commitment to improving the lives of individuals and families.
His House for Her, one of the grant recipients, is an organization that has been at the forefront of supporting women who have experienced substance abuse, domestic violence, and other trauma providing them with a safe haven and the tools necessary to rebuild their lives.
Their mission aligns perfectly with the values upheld by the late Chief Graham, who was passionate about ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable populations. The grant awarded to His House for Her will enable them to expand their facilities and enhance their programs, creating a positive impact on the lives of countless women.
Open Arms Village, the second grant recipient, is an organization that has been a beacon of hope for many homeless individuals. Their agency provides shelter and support services to single men, the largest homeless population in Marion County and the population that struggles the most to find assistance and Open Arms Village exemplifies this commitment. With the grant received from The Chief Greg Graham Legacy Foundation, Open Arms Village will be able to expand their services, providing comprehensive care and resources to men in need, helping them regain stability and independence.
The grant recipients were chosen through a grant process, which was open to all nonprofit organizations in the Ocala community. Each applicant was evaluated based on their mission, impact, and potential for long-term success in serving the mental health community. The Chief Greg Graham Legacy Foundation is proud to support His House for Her and Open Arms Village, recognizing their outstanding work and dedication to improving the lives of those they serve.
“We are thrilled to announce His House for Her and Open Arms Village as this year’s grant recipients,” said Angie Peters, Board Chair of The Chief Greg Graham Legacy Foundation. “Their commitment to their respective causes and the positive impact they have on our community align perfectly with Chief Graham’s values. We are confident that the grants awarded will further their mission and enable them to continue their exceptional work.”
The Chief Greg Graham Legacy Foundation is grateful to all the nonprofits that participated in the grant application process. The foundation remains committed to its mission of supporting organizations that make a difference in the lives of individuals and families within the Ocala community.
