As Director of Grant Administration for the Community Foundation, Cheri works to connect our community with grants and other resources through identifying and facilitating new and recurring opportunities for addressing the wide array of community needs in Ocala/Marion County.
Cheri moved to Ocala in 2019 from the Washington DC region where she worked as the Chief Operating Officer for the National Alliance on Mental Illness.
Prior to that, Cheri spent over 20 years in executive nonprofit management roles with human serving nonprofits in Northern Virginia. Cheri also worked part time as an adjunct professor at George Mason University where she taught courses in nonprofit philanthropy and the art of grant writing.
Cheri is passionate about animals and lives with her husband on a local horse farm with 22 sentient companions including horses, donkey, ducks, dogs, rabbits, geese, cat, and two tortoises.
