Support the P.E.T.s. of Marion County Fund
P.E.T.s. of Marion County, Inc. (P.E.T.s) is a 501c3 non-profit organization that was created in 2019 to help Marion County Animal Services in increasing adoptions and supporting the team that helps our temporary residents and our community. The goal of P.E.T.s is to increase awareness and adoptions and to enrich the lives of the animals who temporarily live at the Marion County Animal Shelter.
P.E.T.s is committed to Providing Education, Training and Support for the animals, the team and the volunteers at Marion County Animal Services. Our efforts have provided adoption goodie bags, leashes, and needed resources that help families who adopt from the shelter have a better chance of success with the newest member of their family. We have also provided valuable trainings and care for the employees and volunteers who work very hard to socialize, train and strive for successful adoptions for the cats & dogs in their care.
As Marion County has grown and changed, so have the needs of our only county managed shelter. Our mission is still the same, provide for the “not yet pets”, the team and the volunteers. What has changed is huge! Marion County is in the process of building a brand-new Animal Shelter that will meet the needs of the animals and the team of hard-working folks that push every day to find families for our residents.
We are kicking-off our capital campaign to help fill the gap between funding and future necessary improvements. We want to be sure that our team has everything they need so they can concentrate on the well-being and adoptability of our “not yet pets”.
